Vietnam’s GDP expanded 5.64 percent in the first half of the year, marking a jump from 1.82 percent in the same period a year ago. This increase came despite Vietnam going through the fourth wave of the pandemic affecting some industrial parks in the Northern provinces, capital Hanoi and commercial center Ho Chi Minh City. As in previous years, the manufacturing and processing industry has been the driver for this increase with a growth rate of 11.42 percent.
